About Us
The Black Room Rehearsal Studios was a brainchild of Steve and James who worked together and were in separate local bands that struggled to find a dedicated rehearsal studio in North Lincolnshire.
Having visited a few rehearsal spaces we knew what worked and what didn’t as users of a rehearsal studio, so we strived to create something we would be happy to use ourselves.
After drawing a blank finding a suitable place to rent in Scunthorpe, we widened our search and found our ideal space in Winterton.
With no tenant for two years, the spiders had taken over so we wrangled them out and set about adapting the space. Following a 4-month build, we opened in October 2018 and continued to improve and refine the acoustics and upgrade our equipment.
We now have a room everybody is happy to play in.
Rehearse
Our Rehearsal Space is 10×5 metres
Built by musicians, for musicians.
Air-conditioned, soundproofed and acoustically treated, our rehearsal space boasts a full PA system, 2x vocal mics, full drum kit, 2x guitar amps and bass amp all included in the rehearsal fee.
And tea and coffee is free of charge…
Record
Recording facilities are available by arrangement on selected days.
From full band rehearsal to solo artist recording, our fully sound-treated performance and vocal booth are sure to provide high-quality results in conjunction with our top-notch microphones and studio set-up.
